CURRENTLY:
Approximately 90% of the pastors in Africa are untrained and rely on their traditional religions that include forms of witchcraft and the veneration of ancestor spirits; greedy televangelists; and their dreams and visions. The church in Africa is still described by many as being like a river ďa mile wide and an inch deep.Ē Why? Because, according to some missions experts, the Word of God has not taken root.

OUR MISSION: Our mission is to train untrained church leaders in Africa in order to advance the true gospel through vibrant healthy churches that resemble what is described in Ephesians 4:11-14 (see below). We call them ďE-4 (Ephesians 4) Churches.Ē

OUR VISION: By 2020, ITEM will provide basic Bible and theological training for at least 5,000 church leaders annually and work to engage at least half of those pastors (2,500 per year) in a structured mentoring program that will equip the pastor to bring his church to follow the pattern described in Ephesians 4:11-14.

Please partner with us and help make this a reality.

OUR STRATEGY: Strategically locate E-4 churches in each country in which we are ministering. Begin conducting seminars on Bible theology followed by ministry and preaching seminars at which we teach pastors the principles of an E-4 church and the pastorís role. They observe an E-4 church during the second seminar. Those wanting assistance in making their church an E-4 church are enrolled in a mentoring program where they are led and mentored through the process.

Your gift of any size will help make this vision a reality.

"And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ, until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of Godís Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christís fullness. Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit."  (Eph 4:11-14 HCSB)
