Advanced Teaching

The Institute in the Foundations of Church Leadership (IFCL)

Purpose: The purpose of the IFCL is to provide pastors and Church leaders with a biblical foundation upon which they can build their ministry.

Content: In the course of the training we acquaint the pastors and Church leaders with what the Bible teaches about itself, about the Church, and about their call and role as the pastor or leader. We help them develop a philosophy of ministry. We make them aware of the false teachings that surround them. We overview the Old and New Testaments, and the theology in the books of Romans and Ephesians.  We also survey all three of the pastoral epistles: 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus.

Conviction: It is our conviction that the Bible is the final authority and the sufficient source for instructing pastors and Church leaders. Therefore we hold fast to the principle of Sola Scriptura. At the IFCL, the Bible never closes and we do not pick verses randomly to support our points; we open the Bible and study complete passages or, in some cases, entire books.

The following provides the content, lecture by lecture, for all of our current seminars. The notes and audio lectures may be viewed online or downloaded.

May the Lord use these to His glory.

By His grace,

Steve Van Horn Founder/President
